Moving lights not retaining parameters when switching between show files.

We have a festival ongoing, with each participant having their own respective show file, based off a standard template.  After saving a show file and opening another created earlier, the latest file does not retain the saved parameters and reverts to the default home attributes for all fixtures.  I am sure it is a simple step I am missing, but can't for the life of me figure out what.

  • The desk clears when you load a new file. logic.

    But there is a way around it:

    I don't know with the big desks, but the JR have a Freeze switch. If you turn that to freeze, change show and load the same look and then turn off the freeze it should not be noticed that you changed.
