Console won't remember effect details.

This has been happening for a while.  I create effects for a show, I'm currently using 33, and they work great the whole day and for the show.  I save everything constantly and especially before I power off.  I come in the next week and all of my effects are still listed in the Effects Playback list, but as I bring them up none of the details are populated for the dynamic effects.  Some of my chase effects go to a random chse that I have for a different show.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a special way to save effects?

  • Use ALL Palettes to save the information for effect playbacks.
Remember an effect playback is like a virtual device. When you turn on the console, the device is at its home values. So to is an effect playback.
If you are saving presets directly to masters, you want to make sure that you are recording that data into the preset.
I have had chase effects get out of order when I use groups to make them and didn't make ALL Palettes. I believe that it is an issue that has been fixed in the latest software, but I haven't tried it to find out.
    I hope that helps,
    John
