Cobalt software v8.1 is now available for download for consoles, PCs and Macs. This version includes new features as well as fixes for issues found since the release of v8.0.1. This release includes significant improvements for multi-console systems. Users are recommended to update as soon as production schedules allow.

Key Enhancements in v8.1.0
• CITP improvements and support for media servers including transfer of thumbnails and file names to console (Media servers supporting CITP/MSEX 1.0 or later)
• CITP autofocus with Capture visualization (Capture Argo and later)
• Direct Select "Flow Mode" tabs contain one type of DS data and can be resized and zoomed, and can show packed (hide unrecorded objects) and unpacked formats
• User defined soft keys pages
• Magic Sheets can now be opened from the Magic Sheet list
• Palette objects in Magic Sheets can now be executed with time just like direct select palettes
• Capture player updated to latest version
• Cobalt now supports #lighthack devices
• Playback tab in packed format has improved column scaling logic to display longer text labels better
• Performance improvements and significant sync improvements in multi-console systems
Important note: Cobalt v8.0 software is NOT compatible with Windows XP based consoles, including Congo senior and older oldest Congo jr/Congo Kid consoles.
Owners of older Congo jr/Congo Kid consoles may contact ETC Technical Services or their local dealer and provide their console serial number to explore Win7 upgrade options.
Congo senior consoles can’t be upgraded.
