Some quick things about 8.1

Hello!

First of all: nice update! love the new DS Flow, S keys and that fades on backup desk works without lag.

Talking about backup desks and faders... The Range problem seems to still bee there?! Running a JR and a Nomad (Non of them have Range button) I tried to use the Range button on the "Build in" console and it didn't do any thing. also tried with a Magic Sheet button on the nomad but no luck. I still would love to have the option to use different masters on the main and backup.

I found a little graphics glitch on the Nomad when changing pages in Master View wile in session. the masters turn black (color) but comes back if you scroll a little.

Still no key command for Trackball P/T? Maybe bring back the Parameter button from Congo desks? and let us use it on Magic sheets, OSC and the S-buttons? I found the "Trackball" buttons in the S-Keys, but they do not activate Trackball P/T. So far the only way I found to activate Trackball P/T is by clicking on it.

I'm sorry for sounding negative, I think you added and improved some nice things. and i'm sad I didn't have the time to join the beta this time.

This is my feels after a very short time with 8.1. Will do some more in the weekend.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    I had hoped for the RANGE button to be implemented in v8.1 and I did work on it for a while. However, it turned out to have some complicated side-effects (mainly because of all the possible combinations of modules) so I had to pull it out of the official release. I might give it another try for a future version.

    But I'm not geting the range to work at all on JR or Nomad. but that is maybe what you ment?

    What about the Trackball part? Like you can set the old Congo desks trackball buttons on the S1-S3 keys but they don't do any thing on any desk that runs V8+?! feels like unnecessary space takers in the drop down meny. Or re-patch them to mouse buttons and Trackball P/T to bee implemented. also now with support for the #lighthack I could see a home made Congo trackball made out of a normal trackball mouse and some buttons.

    Range does not have a function on JR or Nomad. It is mainly for the Cobalt consoles.

    I'll check why the Trackball P/T button doesn't work.

    To make a work around for the Range problem: How would a OSC-Usb wing work now when you unlocked OSC over USB with #Lighthack? Then I can program the wing to start at 41. Or?

    Edit: It's for my nomad. should worked pre 8.1 when connected to a PC. or?
