FX rate control

How do you control the rate? Sounds like you have rate on a master set to 0 and then pull it up. If you have a Cobalt, JR, kid or programming wing you select the effect while it plays back you can on the wheels set the rate. then it won't snap. But yea, you need to be in the effect editing to do so. 

I use the rate wheel. Even when I go slow with it there’s some jumping back instead of a smooth transition.

yra it do that. resets when it get a new value.

Look in to content effects. I used dynamics for years and now I tested Content I don't want to go back. harder to make movement effects like circles but for intensity, colors and so they are good. and then you have the beat boss that will change the effect in a different way then the rate
