How to make the list steps not in place in advance

In a sequence list assigned to the Main Playback, you can press [Setup]+[Go] to expose the settings for the Go button including "Don't advance playback" where you can toggle the function on or off. This is also included on the Main Playback tab of the Play Settings accessed by just pressing [Setup]

maybe you are talking about Automark? you can deactivate Automark in Setup>System>CueSettings
