v8.2 Firmware

Question

The release notes for v8.2 has a note that some firmware can only be updated by ETC Service Center. How crucial is it to do get this firmware updated, and what is it? Thanks, John

Hi John, 
 The firmware that is only updated by a service center is a change to the bootloader to resolve an intermittent issue where a circuit board might start up in a firmware update mode instead of starting up normally on initial power on. If you aren't seeing this issue, there is no urgency to have the firmware updated.
