Attribute View?

I am trying to follow along with the Cobalt tutorial series on YouTube; toward the end of the "Editing Presets on Cobalt" video (#18 in the series), the instructor indicates to press the "Attrib" button on the console to switch to an attribute view, which on the video shows the individual non-intensity attributes next to each channel.

I am running the latest 8.2.2.50 under macOS.  I have a Nomad dongle, but don't have it connected right now as I am just following the tutorials and running in Offline mode.

When I press that button (either the "I" button on the keyboard or the button on the popup virtual console keyboard), it toggles between the normal "tombstone" display and a blank display, showing nothing.  I do have the same preset selected in the list that is being used in the video demonstration, and the "tombstone" display matches up.

Did something change between when the tutorial was made and the current version, is there a bug in 8.2.2.50, or am I doing something wrong...?

Thank you!

  • I can't help with the macOS issue.

[ATTRIB] on the console does toggle the attributes in the live display.

I have always found this to be a less than optimal choice for changing the display in live.  Typically, I keep a "Live Attributes" tab open under my "Live" tab with a magic sheet.  When I want to see the attributes view, I touch the tab to switch to it.  I also keep a "Live Selected" tab open and formatted to show the Intensity, Focus, Color and Beam.  It is easier to see what I have selected live in that tab.

  • The tutorial is working in the preset list where I am seeing the issue, not the live view.
