RDM in V 6.3

Hello everybody, 

ich hätte ne Frage zu RDM. 

Ich habe jetzt es endlich mal ausprobiert und war gespannt, was Congo und das RDM Gerät macht. 

Wir haben Robe Colour Spot 700 E AT ( RDM fähig).

Ist es richtig das die RDM Geräte nur erkannt werden, wenn ich dazwischen ein Gateway habe. 

Habe es direkt an den DMX Port angeschlossen und es wurde kein Gerät erkannt. 

Nachdem ich es direkt am Gateway angeschlossen, wurde es sofort erkannt. 

Spaß hatte ich sofort, als ich die Adresse vergeben konnte und dies auch sofort das Device übernahm. 

Auch die Identifizieren Funktion ist funny. 

Aber.. sobald ich in HOME Attribute gehe, steht der Kopf unten, und fährt wohl innerlich sämtliche Parameter , wie Gobo, CMY etc durch. Von voher bekommt er jetzt die Werte. 

Klar Kreis kann ich vergeben, es macht auch irgendetwas , wenn ich zum Beispiel Pan / Tilt bewege , nur er macht dann kein PAN / Tilt, sondern fährt irgendwelche andere  Attribute durch. 

Mache ich was falsch bei den Einstellung?

Gerät steht in Mode 1 ( von 6) . wird in der RDM Liste auch korrekt angezeigt.

    Yes, it is true that RDM is only supported through a Gateway with v6.2.x and v6.3. Starting with v6.4, RDM is also supported through the local DMX ports of the console.

    I do not know what RDM parameters this specific device will report to Congo. When you talk about "HOME attribute", is that a parameter that is visible in the RDM Device Parameter list or is it the Congo command Home?

    What does "Klar Kreis" mean?

    i mean the Congo Command Home. 

    With klar kreis, i mean ,, of course the Channel ..."

    Maybe the Problem could be in the Software of the Device, i try make a update for the  Device.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the clarification. My German isn't very perfect!

    It sounds like the template for the device isn't correct. Have you made sure that the template corresponds with the device and its operating mode?

    When you patch the device in the RDM device list, Congo tries to figure out the correct template for the device as it reports itself through RDM. Did you patch the device in the RDM Device List and got an automatic template? Could it be that Congo has suggested a template that doesn't match with how the device actually works?

    Hallo Anders, 

    Das Template in der Bibliothek ist an sich korekt, wenn ich das Device manuell  patche funktioniert es auch. Gestern habe ich den Robe Colour Spot 700E AT über das Gateway via DMX Kabel verbunden. 

    Sofort wurde das Gerät erkannt, im richtigen Mode und das richtige Template.Mehr habe ich nicht gemacht. Nur steuern lässt es sich nicht. Außer bei der Identify  Funktion, macht er Pan und Tilt in kurzen bewegungen.Wenn ich es nicht über RDM Patche funktioniert es.

    Hoffe konnte Dir es soweit wie möglich erklären

    Hi,

    Just to make sure I understand the problem:

    You can see that it gets the correct Template when you patch it but you cannot control Pan and Tilt correctly. But only when patching through the RDM Device List. Correct?

     

    There shouldn't really be any difference if you patch it through RDM or manually with the same Template. When you patch in the RDM Device List, it will automatically create a corresponding device in the Device List and assign the template and start address to it. It just automizes the old patching mechanism for you. So everything should behave exactly the same.

    If you look in the Output Editor when you patch through RDM and manually, do you see the same parameters on the same outputs?

    Hey Anders,

    ich glaube ich habe das Problem gefunden, es liegt nicht an Congo, , es liegt wahrscheinlich an DMX Geräte wie ein Booster oder Splitter der in der DMX Linie eingeschliefen ist , die wohl nicht RDM fähig sind, werde es noch genau prüfen und Berichten

    Hi Thorsten,

    das hast du richtig erkennt!

    um RDM fehlerfrei zu nutzen, mussen alle Booster, Splitter und Co die in der DMX Leitung sind, alle RDM-Fähig sind.

    Alle Net3 DMX Gateways sind bereits RDM-Fähig.

    Funktioniert nicht, wenn du von Lichtechnik ( Hagen Bach und Grill PSU 104) dazwischen hast, (leider wohl nicht RDM fähig),nach dem Gateway.

    Hatte aber jetzt mal eure LED Source Four zur probe gehabt( Ne Firma aus Wolffekbüttel, wist schon ) , habe diese direkt nach dem Gateway eingespeist und es lief. Eure Led Source four haben unsere alten Niethammer platt gemacht. Geil. Hoffe das bald wir die Kohle haben , um ein paar davon in unseren Theater zu nutzen. RDM hatt sofort die Geräte erkannt . Ich liebe RDM wenn ich es nutzen kann. Funktioniert jetzt in 6.3.1 RDM über die 2 konventionellen DMX Ausgänge ohne Gateway ( Auf Gastspiel nicht dabei, nur at HOME) ?

    Wenn ein DMX Geräte der DMX Signal unbearbeitet weiter leitet (z.B. durch den Durchgangsbuchse),

    dann funktioniert das RDM weiterhin. Aber so bald ein DMX Geräte der DMX Signal bearbeitet,

    und mit ein nicht RDM-DMX Treiber - z.B. wie in ein Netzteil für 4pol DMX Geräte,

    dann ist der RDM nicht mehr funktionsfähig.

    Ey Corey , Danke für dein Support, aber must du nich mal schlafen gehen, oder habt ihr ein 24 Hours Support ? Es gibt auf jedenfalls wasnoch schöneres als Congo, hatt aber keine Tasten und Displays.

    Hallo Leute, 

     

    habe V6.4 jetzt drauf, habe aber mit den Robe Colour Spots 700 E AT immer noch das gleiche Problem, wenn ich un die Output Liste gehe, bleiben alle Werte stabil, er macht aber trotzdem über RDM immer kurze Pan / Tilt bewegungen, in allen Modus Einstellungen.

    Deaktiviere ich RDM über Congo und patche das Deviece manuel funktioniert es wunderbar. 

    Hat jemand eine Idee, woran es liegt ?
