Sine wave effect pausing at Zero?

I've got a problem with a Dynamic effect that I wrote to do a color run on scrollers.
I've used a sine wave on the color attribute in the editor to make them run from one end to the other.
I works to a degree, but each time the attribute goes to zero, it stops abruptly then pauses before starting again, which is definitely not the shape of a SIne wave. The top end does act like a sine, slowing down before turning around.

Rate, Delay, etc all work fine, but don't get rid of the pause. Level and Rate will however make the pause longer.

These are Wybron "The Scroller" units and the board is running v6.1.1.9.0.60

Am I doing something wrong?
