net3 rfr

Hi..

Whats with the net 3 focus remote? all i have is trouble with this one.. sometimes it works fine but more often than not it doesn't.

Here is what happens... it will start up and connect to base with full signal and then the remote screen goes blank or it just wont connect to the base station... ever...

I have checked all settings ie network id and channel, cleared remote fields and powered up and down plenty of times..

Can anyone help?

  • Hi J,

is your base station connected via USB or Network?

What firmware version is your base station?

What firmware version is your handheld?

Are your re-chargeable batteries maybe not

    holding a charge anymore?

  • Hi corey.

the base station is connected by usb.

i am not sure what firmware is on the base

    the hand held is 2.08

and the battery life is fine..

what i cant figure out is why it works some times just fine but more often than not it wont work..

  • Hi J,

the RFR communicates over the same frequencies as WLAN, so that

if the sound techs, video techs, or other people are sometimes using also

devices that transmit over WLAN freqs, then there could be interferences.

You could try changing the HF Channel that is being used. For the Base Station,

you need to do this in your console Setup->RFR, and in the Handheld, you need

to hold down the bottom left hand button on the front when you power up the

Handheld, and after ca. 6 seconds, it will boot up in Setup Mode, and there

you set the HF Channel. As you scroll through each HF Channel it shows

you the current strength of that HF CHannel on your display, or even the channel

is blocked. See the RFR Setup Guide for more info.

If you have really bad luck, someone could be blocking all 12 of the HF Channels,

I know that some Media Control Touchscreens and Audio Wireless Microphones

    can do this.

    Good Luck!
