Blind

If you record a preset in Blind how do get it into the sequence list?
  • You can insert any preset into a sequence using the Sequence List view. You can open this view in a couple of ways:

If the sequence you want to edit happens to also be on the Main Playback,  just press MODIFY & PLAYBACK to open this sequence's editor directly.

Otherwise, you can press SEQ to open the Sequences list (a list of all sequences in the play), then arrow down to the sequence number you want to edit and press MODIFY.

Or, you can open a sequence list directly from the Browser by finding the sequence you want to edit in the Sequences part, then pressing MODIFY.

Once the Sequence list is open, arrow down to the step just above the place where you would like to insert a preset, and type # INSERT, where the # is the Preset number. That preset will be inserted into the sequence in a new step below the currently selected step. All remaining steps will shift position by 1, keeping all their timing and associated links.

    Notable things when editing sequences:

In versions 4.3.4 and earlier, notes will not be moved correctly when steps are inserted or deleted.

"Link to Step" instructions will not be adjusted if steps are inserted or deleted, so be careful when editing to make sure to update these manually.

    I hope this helps -

    Thanks -

  • Hi,

Blind on the Congo doesn't work the way Blind works on Expression or Obsession consoles.

You don't use Blind to build cues.  Blind is a feature that allows you to fade in multiple channel changes to the live look.

For how to build a preset "blind" and insert it into a sequence, see Sarah's post.

I just wanted to clarify a misconception that many early adopters of the Congo often have.

"Been there, done that, have the T-shirt"

    Take care,

    John
