Updating palettes in a content effect

We have some content effects with several all palettes in them.  Is there a way to update those pallets while the effect is running?  Something like changing a gobo that should happen for all of them.  I realize we could do this if we used a combination of focus and beam palettes.  Just wondering if there's a way to do it with all palettes.

Thanks,
Mat

  • Two things:

    1. All Palettes are no different to Focus, Colour and Beam palettes, they just include more data.
      • You can use the same techniques to update them as for F,C,B palettes - whether they are running or not also doesn't matter.
    2. On the Moving Light display there is a softkey labelled "Update Palette", found under the "Device" softkey page.
      • This updates all the palettes that 'were' in use to their current values - really useful when doing your pre-show checks!
Finally, remember that Effect Playbacks are just like moving lights - you can treat them exactly the same in all ways. The only 'gotcha' is that they don't have any Focus, Colour or Beam attributes, for fairly obvious reasons!
