is it possible to delay incomeing of a linked master ?

I'll just create the seq step that fires the master as a follow on ... THANKS anyways ... know if you we're awake you'ld all be all over this ..

Your solution works, or you could learn a macro to do it, but the wait/follow solution is much easier to "see" and edit...
