Single Shot Chases

Hi all,

I don't know if I'm just being a bit thick, or maybe I've missed something.  A single shot chase should fire once and stop, I think.  I've a small chase, set up as single shot, loaded to a master.  I can fire this chase either from the master itself or via a master link in the sequence.  Regardless of which method I use, the chase fires once, pauses for about a second, then fires again, continuing for an eternity.  My workaround for the show was to followon to a dummy cue to stop the chase, but I'm not sure I should have to.

Any ideas?

Thanks

  • This seems to work as it should here. I can trigger the single shot chase with the master or with a master link and it will run only once.

Could you please send me your show file so that I can have a look? There might be something special that tricks the system into restarting...

  • After looking at your show file, I now understand why you have the problem. It seems like you have set the WFA mode to Followon for your chaser. For historical reasons, using followons behaves differently than Wait times. And, in combination with single shot mode, you will get this effect.

Is there a reason for you to have Followons in the chaser?

If you change to Wait, it will run once and then stop.
