Hello,
I would like to control and synchronize the Congo Kid with a Mac,
Just to have an extra screen and a keyboard.
I have the impression that the basic Mac application does not work. Do you need the "cobaltnomad" dongle on the Mac?
Thanks in advance
A Cobalt Client or ETCnomad dongle is required to enable Backup mode on a Mac or PC.
Unfortunately the dongle driver was not available for 64bit macOS while Cobalt was in active development, and so while Cobalt v8 is natively 64 bit, it is not possible to enable the Server or Backup modes on Catalina (10.15) onwards.
If you have access to a Mac running High Sierra or Mojave then you should be able to use an ETCnomad dongle to enable Backup mode.
If you have an Intel Mac, then you can use Windows to enable an ETCnomad dongle.
Note that ETCnomad dongles also support Hog and Eos software.
