Grand Master behaviour in networked consoles

Hi there,

Having just discovered the LTP nature of the Grand Master fader for Congo's networked together, I wondered whether there was any way of disabling the GM on client desks to prevent an accidental black-out of the server ? -or perhaps allow them to work on an HTP basis ?

I've also noticed that If you bring a networked Congo's GM to 0, then on another which has the GM at FF, bring the GM to 99% the global GM setting jumps from 0 to 99%. If you then accidentally nudge the GM on the desk which was faded down, the global GM will jump to, say, 1%.

This strikes me as a little dangerous. It's a bit misleading initially that you can be working on a desk whose local GM is at 0 and still output live, but it's worse that you could accidentally black out your show by nudging the GM to 1% - I would have expected that you would have had to 'collect' the level first, but the desk obviously interprets the 1% nudge as a new 'LTP' event.

I suppose the short answer is to make use of the 'Disable Clients' button ?

Thanks for your help
