In the last few weeks we have been working tirelessly to address performance issues discovered in the field when using the new Congo v6 software. If you have experienced these issues firsthand, please accept my most sincere apology for that. We have released v6.0.2 software with a number of fixes including a significant performance boost that should all but eliminate the frequent “hourglassing” reported in v6. In our process of investigating this performance issue, we also discovered that the video card driver on the Congo console (not the Congo jr and Light Server) may be causing slowdowns for some users with specific hardware. Updating the video driver is a benefit for any Congo console that contains the video card in question, regardless of what software version you are running. Please make sure to run the second installer called “Congo_Video_Driver.exe” if you own a Congo console. If your console does not contain the specific video card requiring the update, the installer will simply state that the card was not found. Exiting the installer will leave the previous driver in place and the console will operate normally. We highly recommend that users of v6 software update their consoles as soon as possible.
