Writing Cues out of sequence.

I need to record cues for a musical.  I will be writing them out of sequence, such as cue 1, 10, 20, without the actors. Then during rehearsal I will add the cues on the fly.  On the Ion, I would just make my cue, then record cue number and it is in order and complete and I didn't need to label anything.  I am looking for an efficient and very quick way to record cues (stage looks), on the fly.  I understand I can record a preset and record it into a sequence.  However, if they automatically insert in the list, the internal cues I insert later will not record in order. Is there an efficient way to do this the first time and not have to go back to my sequence list and put all the presets in order?

  • If I understand what you want to do,  all you need to do is specify the preset number that is being recorded just as on an Ion.

The syntax is input  (number) then press RECORD.

10 RECORD will record a preset #10 in the sequence loaded in the main playback.

20 RECORD will record preset #20.

If later you 15 RECORD, it will insert Preset 15 into the sequence list between Preset 10 and 20.

The main playback can function just like a usual theatrical cue stack.

    I hope that helps!
