Recording new preset

Is it possible to have "return" on the attached keyboard act as pressing Record instead of having to use the mouse or pressing Record on the lighting desk?

Most of the time you hit Record on the desk, name the preset and then ideally pressing "enter" on the keyboard would be complete the action.

  • There's a lot of options in that popup (particularly in the Advanced tab) that you toggle or enter values using Return or [Modify], so that could get confusing as Return would either Record or adjust an option, depending on which box was focussed. Something to think about though.

    If you want to complete the recording action on the keyboard, you can press the Up Arrow three times to move the focus to the Record button then hit Return.

    - Focus wraps around in popups, so up or down can be closer sometimes.

    although I'm no friend of too many keystrokes, I'd suggest to

    _press [RECORD] twice (leave the text fields empty). Then in the Main Playback Tab

    _press [TEXT] and enter the Sequence Text (!) for this Preset.

    (This may also help you in setting the right Preset or Sequence Text...)
