Scrollers and Control Channels

Hi,

I'm doing some work in a venue at the moment with a number of scrollers on a V6 Congo. The venue is set up so that all the scrollers are addressed differently, but the lanterns they are attached to are paired.

Currently, the set up on the desk is to simply have the control of the paired lanterns and then to use different set of channel numbers to control the scrollers.

I'm guessing this is the best solution, but would ideally like to have a single set of channels on the desk that I can use to control both intensity and colour; I'm a little worried that at some point I won't set the dummy level on the scroller channel and will forget to click to include zero level channel attributes.

Hope that makes sense and that there might be a solution!

Thanks

  • There isn't really a better solution to this - we never thought someone would have two scrollers on one dimmer.

The closest would be an individual Template with two scrollers in it (eg Color and Color 2), but that only really works if you've got a constant gap between the two scrollers on each dimmer.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the replies, you were right first time so as I suspected it's so rare that it's not worth including which seems fair!

I thought of creating a template just after posting but as you say even then there are too many variables so will have to leave it and just remember to record all attributes or set up some more groups.

    Thanks
