Insert/paste position question

Potential stupid question alert.

In a list - in my case a Sequence List:

Why does Insert insert After the current step but Paste pastes Before the current step.

Thanks,

Pete

  • Hi,

They are intentionally made different. The most common case when inserting is to add new steps at the end. Therefore, it inserts presets after the current step.

Paste operations normally insert before the current position so we have chosen to follow that convention. This also gives you the possibility to insert steps before the first step (something that isn't possible with INSERT).
