A version 4 manual I have ( vers 6 manual doesnt seem to show it)
says 
Pin1 Chassis Ground
Pin 2 Dimming Leg
Pin 3 + 12V DC

We have some 'Littlelites' which are LED, they dim with the control panel settings. I'm not sure where you'd get them in your part of the world.

Pinouts of all the console connectors are given in the Appendix chapter of the manual (v6 rev A - page 764 onwards).

You're correct Richard. I missed the page in the Ver 6 manual, it is there :-)

Pin 1 on the XLR should not be connected.

Put the lamp between pins 2 and 3.

On my light it has on single cable going to pin two and pins 1,3 and the ground are joined will i have to adjust this as it still isn't functioning?

Please tell me you didn't plug that in...

The shell of the XLR and Pin 1 should not be connected. Plugging that in will short the +12VDC line (Pin 3) to Protective Earth, (Pin 1 and Shell) which could damage the console.

If the light you have doesn't have two wires then it's not suitable and you should swap it for one with two wires.

As stated above and in the manual, the two wires go to pins 2 and 3.
