Net3 Radio Focus Remote (RFR) connection

Every so often, our Net3 RFR unit won't completely connect with the base receiver, which is connected to the Congo via USB cable.  The RFR says "connected" when powering up, but the screen comes up blank except for the battery level indicator.  The only cure I have found so far is powering down and re-starting the console, sometimes more than once.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Is it normal, or should we see about getting it fixed?

Thanks,

  • I have had the same issue with my remote.  The reciever is connected via ethernet and the best way I have found is to take the remote appart and taking out the batteries.  Very anoying indeed.
I am running the latest software on the remote.

  • Hi Orri, sorry to hear you are having problems. So you have v2.0.8 on your handheld, and v2.0.4 on your base station, and your display is still blanking out? Have you contacted ETC Tech Services or your ETC Dealer to discuss this?
  • I have updated both units, and it seems good so far.  One thing very obvious was that the response time after typing commands on the RFR seem quicker.  Before the software update, there was a slight delay...  Thanks, and best regards!
