If you are in the middle of a dipless crossfade, you are not able to clear the crossfade contribution easily. Since you are in between A and B, you'll have to clear both the A and B field to get rid of levels. C & LIVE LIVE doesn't do this.
Thanks for the confirmation Anders. Its not something i normally do but found it when trying long channel times out and got bored waiting.
It seemed that C/Alt LIVE LIVE would drop the levels to zero if the 'fade ' had happened and then just the channel on its own time was there. If it paused during the fade then levels would drop to where they were in that point of the fade
