aRFR "encountered a fatal error and cannot continue"

I am getting the exact same error message on 2 different models Samsung cell phones today, 10/29/2023. They both worked in September. Uninstalled and re-installed aRFR 4.1.1. Same error.

I would also like to note that the same version of the app DOES still work on my phone, a Kyocera DuraForce Ultra (model number E7110) running Android 11.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) SM-T580 running Android 8.1 is also giving this error.

Moto G Pure (XT2163DL) running Android 12 is also giving this error.

Hi same problem on Lenovo tablet with Android 11. Happened yesterday.

What about putting a previous version of the app on Google play that we can install until you get this resolved? We really depend on this.

We are investigating a potential cause tied to orientation of the Android device. For the folks that can reproduce this error:

- Is your device in landscape or portrait? Do you get different results using the other orientation?

- Is is possible that the error populates if you switch the orientation as the application is opening?

The app crashes when opening no matter the orientation, but the error message only appears for me when in portrait mode. Rotating while opening still results in a crash. Moto G Pure (XT2163DL) running Android 12 

We are actively working on a fix. The old version is unavailable due to an update to the Google App Store. Apologies for the inconvenience. 

It crashes in both orentations with the same error message.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 (model number SM-T377V), Android 7.1.1
- I typically use it in portrait orientation. I get the same error in landscape orientation.
- I do still get the error if I try to switch orientation while the app is opening.

Interestingly, this same issue is happening on my Amazon Fire HD 8 (10th gen) tablet, running Fire OS 7.3.2.7. It happens in both portrait and landscape orientation, as well as when trying to change orientation while opening the app. aRFR version 4.1.1

We have found a commonality with armeabi-v7 based hardware. We are working on a fix targeted for v4.1.2.

For other options, we do see v4.1.1 working on 64-bit based Android devices and do not expect this to be an issue with more modern devices.
