I'm looking forward to the Ion getting multi-touch screen features as Windows 8 makes it's way into market.. Maybe I heard a rumor? Maybe I'm starting a rumor? ;-)
I got this working with my iPad2 and my Macbook (running Windows XP sp3) with the EOS offline software.

This is an app called Air Display. It works best through your own network (i.e. your router) rather than just Ad Hoc (computer-to-device). Most home networks are hitting gigabit speeds so streaming all this info at home shouldn't be a problem..
When I'm working on a show file offline my iPad becomes my 2nd touch monitor for my laptop! It's a little small, but better than nothing!
The client software for your computer is free (mac or pc), but the app cost a few $$. Maybe in future this client could be incorporated into the Windows layer of EOS? Then it would allow us the option of using a remote touch monitor. Pretty cool.
I looked at a couple of other options, but this seemed the cleanest and easiest to use without any account signup or messing around with odd software.
Cheers,
Jason
