Poss. bug 2.7.2 sACN viewer

When I have the sACN viewer open in a tab (whether the tab is front or not), I lose control over whichever universe I happen to be currently sampling. Changing the sample universe restores control to those units, as does closing the tab.

It also appears to happen cross-network, for example I can have the tab open on the RPU, and lose control on the Ti and vice versa.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

  • I just ran into this same bug running on 2.7.3 Build 10!

I've been running Ubiquiti Unifi Switches on set, and noticed that I would occasionally lose control of whole universes. So during my troubleshooting, I grabbed an unmanaged TP-LINK 5-port gigabit switch (TL-SG105) and did a small-scale test which was just the Ion Console -> Switch -> Laptop running an sACN viewer. You can clearly see the issue demonstrated here:

Definitely worrisome! Clearly this model switch doesn't like the way the console's sACN Viewer handles itself, but this issue makes me cautious of any switch or router I have in the system.
