Bug: MS channel objects not responding correctly to touchscreen

I'm using a Windows 7 Ion.

Often, and seemingly randomly, when I select a magic sheet channel object, it doesn't select the channel. The "cross" pointer symbol appears where I touched the screen, but the channel number doesn't post to the command line. It works if I touch the object twice quickly.

Deep Clear did not fix the problem.

Command, group, and palette objects work correctly.

I have two Elo touchscreens. The channel objects only work about half the time when touching them. Also, I had a problem today with a Group object not responding.

I also tried an Asus touchscreen. The Asus touchscreen didn't respond correctly to a channel selection once but since then it's been working perfectly.

Is this something that ETC can fix or will I have to get new touchscreens?

Could it be that the touchscreen interprets the touch not only as touch but also a tiny move? It would then open a selection rectangle and if it's a blue one you wouldn't get a selection since there is no complete object within that tiny rectangle

It could be but I don't think so. I tried selecting channels by tapping with the point of a pencil and I ran into the same problem.
