"Error - Channel List is Empty" when trying to apply colour palettes.

Hi all,

I'm using an ETC Element desk here and we've had it functioning well for our programmes. In the downtime I've been trying to learn more of the in depth stuff so I've been following the Element Level 1 and 2 Skill sheets/videos.

I've got to Colour Palettes, and I can record and save groups/ colour palettes as intended - I'm using four Arri L7-Cs for my fixtures. When it comes to applying the colour palette to the fixture, I get "Error: Channel List is Empty" which is confusing as I've checked the group has channels, the desk has channels within the patch. Sorry to ask but am I missing something here?

can you post a picture of your group list (group group) and a picture of the content of one of the color palettes that doesn't work? Blind, Color Palette 1 Enter

Hi there! I had a look in blind and turns out when I was following the guide, the colour palettes were not actually recording any channel information at all, so I've added this in blind and now we're all good.

maybe we should find out why your color palettes were empty. if you describe what you've been typing in Live, we can try and figure out where it went wrong
