Password Lockout

So Shift Escape, Locks out only anyone who doesnt know that sequence....or just to protect inadvertant key presses while ur away. Why not have an option to put in a password for locked out. and better if it can be any word on the fly....so you can make it up each time....You just have to remember what it was when you come back....So ie. need to go to the lav...Shift/Escape....window pops up or in command line option for Password...Type in a a password. No one but you can now open it back up.

come back...Shift/Escape...then type in last password u used. goo to go

  • Security profiles and passwords are on the list to be implemented eventually. I'm not sure where on the list. Passwords bring out a whole bunch of issues with resetting password or removing them when they are lost etc.
  • maybe there can a reset method, like restarting a couple times in a given period. It would discourage the casual mischief maker. Im more concerned with the inadvertent bump or curious student while console is in use.
  • +1 on this idea

A 4 digit "passcode" would be perfect. Alphanumeric can cause issues in my opinion with incorrect passwords being typed, but a "Enter 4 Digit Passcode" and "Confirm Passcode" would be awesome, or maybe setting a persistent code inside the shell?
