CUE Lists get messed up sometimes...

Hi,
I am controlling a german TV Show with a Hog4 system. I have a Full Board and a Hog4PC with a Nanowing and a DP8000 Processor in a Network. For each episode I will copy my Shows Cuelist and make some changes according to the episodes contents.

Since some weeks I have a weird behaviour. Most times I load the show, the cuelists contains random cues from older episodes. When I close the show and load it again, often the right cues reapear but not every time. So I often close and reload my show several times until the showfile loads correctliy. This is not only annoying but also dangerous, when I dont realise that important cues were dropped, and go on working with that file, because then there is no way back.

This only happens with this particular show file, but on the PC and on the Full Hog4. I dont want to rebuild the show from scratch because it contains elements from 5 years that will be reused every now and then, Is there a possibility to fix the file?

the Problem existed on 3.8 and still appears on 3.9

Kind Regards,

Can

  • Hey Can,

you might want to start a new show (under a new name) and merge your show into that new show.
My guess is that the DP8K has not fully reseted and you are using the same show name.
So merging in a new show, without having the DP connected, with a new show name, then connect the DP8K might help. Also when creating the the new episode, I would start from the last backup, create a new backup with a new name like episode 10 or whatever and then start from that backup again, so you can be sure that you have a unique showname
