I store my palette views as multiple pages, accessed by storing different scroll positions within each window, as different views. This works fine on one desk but I am now using a Road Hog and a Nano Hog tracking each other. The views seem to be stored commonly on both consoles rather than independently, with the result that the views recalled on the Nano Hog are not in the correct scroll position because of the different screen sizes, resolution and layout etc. Is there a way to stiore the views independently on each desk? Alternatively there would need to be a way to store a particukar palette number at the top of the window rather than the scroll position. That would need to be a feature request presumeably. Or is there a way around this issue?
Thank you in advance.
Views are show wide. If you want to recall different views per console you can use comment macros like RV1h1 which recalls view 1 on "Hog 1" (Console 1) so you could record Road Hog Views and Nano Hog views and then recall them that way if your Net Numbers are different. I am unaware of a work around if you're tracking since the console has the same net number.
To ensure any feature requests you want get logged please comment in the Requests Forum, and that way people will be able to vote on it as well.
Hi GabbiThanks for the reply. I guess that would be a workaround... the only issue being that I use the command keys to recall the views... it's the way I always worked on Hog 2 and 3 using the top left hard keys to recall views... I guess I would have to assign different command keys to each console... not ideal but would do for now... I will add a request as you suggest for some better long term fix. I can't be the only person who has this issue.
Also, forgot to say, I'm tracking both desks so they are both Net #1...
Could you just clarify where you were meaning me to put the comment macro? If I put a comment macro in the comment field of either the views or the command keys then the macro seems to be ignored. I tried the old Hog 2 syntax of a > before the macro command but that doesn't work either.
the comment macro goes in the Macros column like in a cue, scene, or page
There isn't a macro column for views or command keys, only a comment field. Unless I'm missing something,
views and command keys do not have macro columns, only certain show items have macro fields, if you have a scene on a command key you would need to go give the scene a macro not the command key
But we are talking about recalling views... the workaround you suggested is to use macros when recalling the views... and that is what I was wanting to clarify with you... where did you intend me to put that comment macro?
I would record a blank scene, give it a macro like RV1h1 (recall view 1 on Hog 1) put that scene on a command key. Now when you press the command key view 1 will recall on whatever console is net num 1. So instead of a view on your command key put a scene with a comment macro. You'll just have to make different views per platform (Road Hog and Nano) so that the comment macros can recall them. Only if you have different net numbers.
Ah, ok... understood...I will try that method.
Thank you :-)
