[ feature request ] OSC Heartbeat

Hello there,

I've had a look through the forum and couldn't find anything relating to this request so apologies if I've missed it.

Would it be possible please to have the Hog4 send a 'heartbeat' out via OSC (something along the lines of /hog/hardware/consoleid/heartbeat) as it would be nice for some feedback to a remote app that the console is talking to the remote (a blinking led would help show the remote is at least connected).

Thanks,
Colin

  • Hi Shandy,

In certain circumstances that's a good idea, also mapping playback LEDs would do a similar thing however that's all very well if your custom layout actually has a highlight button. if you have a page of buttons that trigger macros or cuelists then the moment you know if it's connected or not could be too late if that macro or cue doesn't run hence why a heartbeat would be more useful. You don't need to map the heartbeat in your layout if you don't wish to see it...

    Thanks,
    Colin
