Inverting of patch for selection

Hi guys,

Firstly thank you for the recent steps forward with patch enhancements in v3.3.0. There's some great stuff available now.

I think there's another patch enhancement which could prove extremely useful, and that would be the ability to invert the patch for a selection, either across the whole selection, or for each whole number fixture.

Example, 10 x Sunstrips patched as 100 Desk channels

Fixture 1.1 start address 1
thru
Fixture 1.10 address 10

Fixture 2.1 start address 11
thru
Fixture 2.10 address 20

etc to Fixture 10.10 address 100

So, i'd like the ability to cater for selecting 1 thru 10 and reversing the patch as a whole, so Fixture 1.1 becomes address 100 and Fixture 10.10 becomes address 1.

Also, the ability to just invert the patch per whole number fixture, so Fixture 1.1 becomes address 10 and 1.10 becomes address 1. Fixture 2.1 becomes address 20 and 2.10 becomes address 11.

This is a genuine on site headache when battens are rigged backwards from how expected, and it's currently quite a long task to invert the patch on a fixture by fixture basis.

Hopefully you'll see the worth in this.

Cheers

  • Hi Sami, yes it does invert the patch for one selection, but what we currently have, even if it worked for dotted numbers would only reverse the whole selection from one end to the other. The suggestion to invert the dotted numbers but keep the order across the selection of whole numbers would be particularly useful for this batten situation :-)
