Quite simply grabbing the parameters of the fixture from another cue instead of having to go into the cue, touching the fixture, hitting and hitting copy to....
What would be more useful is for the fixtures to be copied into the programmer rather than having to merge it into a cue..... That way at least you could see what it's doing without a butchering a cue....
I hate suggesting that people read the manual, it always sounds almost nasty and unhelpful, but as someone who has actually read it cover to cover I can suggest it as a good read. Everything you're asking about is very clearly documented.
So as above, rather than ending with Copy # enter, just Copy Enter brings the values into the programmer.
The above syntax seems to only copy hard values into the editor not tracked...... This is what i'm trying to get at with the Fixture @ Cue X suggestion. To save running a cue then touching the fixtures, going to the cue you want to insert it into and updating it.
Indeed, Copy then select the option toolbar State button copies tracked values as well as the content of the cue itself. To ensure you have the same result as touching the fixture i.e. Copy ALL parameters, make sure you touch all your fixtures in the first cue of the List so all values become tracked values.
I agree with Colin, once you understood the syntax of the console it is easy and powerful and in all situations the same: Source Mask Command Option Destination So no special need to remember special commands like "Fixture @ Cue x" And as Mask and Source can be so specific its working very well for almost every scenario
