I have an idea for an effect, which I can't quite get working on the Hog 4 (3.6.0). I do however know how to make it on an Avolites desk(I know, don't hate me), so I will type that out to give you an idea.
Cue 1 : 1st group: Colour White, Iris small time: 0/0.5
Cue 1.1: follow after 1, empty Cue delay 0.5
Cue 2 : 2nd group: Colour White, Iris small time:0/0.5
Cue 2.1: follow after 2, empty Cue delay 0.5
and so on.
The point is that you press the go button for the first cue, then the first group flashes to white in 0s. The follow cue is there so that the first cue get's released with a fade/release time, without pressing the go button again. This makes that you only have to push the go button to bump the lights to white, and they release back to the colour scene they were before. And then the next time you press go the second group is flashed to white. And so on.
I had some minor succes on the HOG thus far. Mostly the fade time or follow function wouldn't quite works. Also some problems with no progression on the cue list. So not quite there yet.
