22" ELO touch screen support! FAIL!

I was advised to get a ELO screen as was told that, in fact, the Road Hog 4 is equipped with a 22" ELO screen so the Road Hog would be equipped with generic drivers for an external 22" ELO Touch Screen.
I'm surprised and sad to realize that it's not supported?
Why?
It's such a nice screen and the Full Boar 4 has support for generic ELO 22" drivers... --Why wasn't this included in the Road Hog 4 software?
The ELO screen I purchased is this;

I hope this will be in a soon upcoming update.

Do you know this for a fact?
Both the RH4 + FB4 run the same underlying software (same full and partial install software for ALL the H4 desks now with linux).
For this reason I would find it odd that it would work on one desk and not another.....far more likely it works on all desks or none....

The RH4 has two options for external monitor connections on the back....VGA and DVI (but never both simultaneously)....have you tried both ports separately?

    Hope this helps. :)
  • Marty,

you are right with the OS, but still due the different hardware (graphic adapter in this case) it might happen....
    RH 4 onboard graphix, FB4 Quad-Head grpahix Displayport, H4 3 x mobile graphix adapater
The 22" ELO is not listed in the manual as a supported device...

I realize this, but that should only affect available resolutions for the external monitor (in theory)....not whether or not it can support the touchscreen.
  • Hey Marty,

in theory, but like mentioned in another post, even the same Monitor with 2 different versions of EDID firmware one is working the other not....
EDID and Graphic-Adapters is always a bit of big sh..
  • As for the Elo 2200L: getting that model to work depends on which touch technology you ordered with that model of touchscreen. What is the part number of your touchscreen (not the model numbers)? Is it E382790, E107766, or E497002?
  • Sorry to answer for Marty, but I do believe he ordered the E107766. It is the "Intellitouch Plus" to be prepared for when H4 software can use multitouch.

    JB
  • Lemme guess, the H4 generic touchscreen driver is only set up for Elo's "Accutouch" and "Intelitouch" technologies, both of which are only single touch (not multitouch) technology?

Yes, I have tried both ports seperately, but isn't it really the USB that transfers the touch driver. The DVI and VGA is only the image....-??

    This is the one E107766
  • Is there any eta on touch screen support for the 22-inch ELO Intellitouch Plus E107766?
