Analog screen problem.

Have anyone else noticed problems with window scaling when using an analog input on a flatscreen?
When using VGA the text and icons are too small compared using DVI having the same resolution.
  • Anyone at HES? Have you noticed an issue like this?
  • I am not sure what console you are using or anything about your setup, but the info at the link below may help if you are using analog displays with a Full Boar 4 for example.

  • I'm using H4... are those digital only too?
  • I just checked the specs and Hog 4 has DVI-I. So, it's outputting both analog and digital.
But, that's something I figured, cause analog monitors are working by using simple DVI to VGA dongle/adapter.
The problem is they are not working correctly. The monitor takes a correct resolution (checked from the monitor info) and the back logo and the pointer have a correct size. But text and icons are way too small. So there's something wrong how the window is scaled.

  • Sami, HOG4 has analog outputs as well.
Only the Fullboar 4 has just digital, due to the 4 head displayport gfx-adapter.
  • Yes, Marc

Have you tried analog monitors on Hog 4? Do they work properly? Do windows have text and icons in correct size?
  • hi sami,

i tried a analog Monitor "V7 1024x768" with DVI to VGA dongle/adapter and VGA cable on all external Monitor-outs. still working fine

  • Hey Sami,

I had a Roadhog Wing connected to the H4, worked without any problems.
