Multi Part Fixture Patching

Hi All,

I've had a to patch multiple LED battens today and have used the new part numbering system. So for example, I patched 8 LED RGBs for the 8 cells in my battens. So 401.1 > 401.8.

However I've been wondering if there's currently a much better way for me to do this in terms of user numbering.

Is there a way for me to say, I have 8 battens that have 8 parts so I'd like 401 > 408 splitting into 8 point numbers. Currently the way I did it was to go through each set of 8 RGB LED's I had patched and go 401.0.

There has to be a much quicker way of doing this surely!
  • Currently I don't think there is a way, since there isn't a way to specify your width of the device.
But renumber 8 fixtures as 401.1 > 401.8 and then patch 401.0 @ address will patch the whole fixture.

It's still much quicker than doing it the old way.
  • Yes, agreed. There is a better way and we are discussing it now. More than likely we will support user number ranges when assigning user numbers. For example you would just specify the range like you did in your first sentence and the console would fill in the blanks.
