Follow Start Path on Back

I have a custom profile for a video server where the parameter for selecting the video files has a path of Start.
But when doing a back in the cue list it fades across the range instead of honoring the Start Path.

Is that the normal behavior?

If so, how do I fix it without changing the back time to zero?

Thanks!

  • Can you not do a back time of 0 in the list options?

Open the list (double hit choose or list x open), hit options…under cuelist, change the "back" time to 0.
  • I thought of that right away.
This is in a volunteer setting and I don't want them doing a back and snapping all the LEDs in zero seconds.

If they do need to go back they know to do a GOTO X.

In all the years of working with DL3's and Catalyst it's never really been an issue until this application.
  • Got it Chris...I figured there were more things involved.

So it only does it with you "new" custom media server library, but not DL3's and Catalyst...interesting. I'll play around on mine...I guess I just took it for granted.
  • Jon, it's the same for all libraries incl DL3s and Catalyst.
I just double checked it in my HogPC.

I was thinking that I've always been the one on the console when using media servers, and haven't had to deal with volunteers hitting a back button.

One of those, just because there's a button doesn't mean it's a good idea to hit it, situations!

I feel that if we have a path of Start then why shouldn't the playback honor it when fading back?
Or are there other uses of Start where that would be an issue?

    Chris
