Bug - Encoders toggle 0/100%

Road hog 4 running 3.5.0

At random points the encoders only toggle between 0 and 100% as if the + key is stuck down.

It's happened on two different desks so can't be a hardware problem. The only way to fix it is to log off and back on.
  • Can you tie this to any particular style or type of button pressing on the console? What I mean is, are you playing back in the directories, or executing palettes, or making large selections? This could actually be the button stuck down in software because another event prevented the processing of the button up event. Just need to find out how and if this could be the case.
  • Just playing back a single cue list, calling fixtures into the programmer by number and by groups, using touch & suck and updating.

i've had it happen in the previous software version too. I never use the + key with an encoder only the . key.

I'll let you know when it next pops up.
  • I have also seen this behaviour on previous software versions, but have not ever been able to consistently reproduce it
  • There's a number of people who also have the same bug on the Facebook "Wholehog 4 Group".

The workaround is to suck the fixture/channel into the programmer before using the encoder to adjust by all accounts...... The cause is still unknown though.
