Editing base value from pallet to pallet effects

In GrandMA you are able to create a pallet to pallet effect and then have the ability to change the presets to create a whole new effect but keep all the other data. Is there a way to do this in Hog 4? In my situation I'm creating color to color effects in hog with different types of segments and offsets but I don't know how to copy the effect and then change the color pallets. I've tried merging the effects but it just changes the color to something else. Making all these color effects from scratch seems to be unnecessary. A'm I missing something? thanks

  • Your best option is to make a cuelist with the 2 colours you want at each cue. Toggle the "Is a chase" option. If you want to "Offset" the effect you would have to set a delay for each cue. e.g Time Time 0 > 1 for each cue as you record the cues or Time Time 0 > 1 > 0 Also works for something symetrical. Then when you overwrite the colour the pallets you used the colour of the effect should also work. It's not as graceful to use compared to an effect but it should do what you want. And if you really want you could have as many steps as you like as if it was a MA Phaser. You'll just have to set your cue fade times appropriately for the speed you want to the effect to run at.
