Hi there everybody,
I wanted to start a discussion on the way Timing Palettes are working right now.
I thought the discussion was already started somewhere but i couldn't find the post.
Say i want to record a Timing Palette and i have the following values in the programmer:

If i press: RECORD TIME Color 4 if would give me a Timing Only Palette (Color 4) with Timing for Color Attributes in the Color Directory
If i press: RECORD TIME Position 7 it would give me a Time Only Palette (Position 7) with Timing for Position Attributes in the Position Directory.
Because of both the Fade and Delay Times are there in the Programmer it would automatically become a mix of Global and Per Fixture palette. Fadetime would be Global and the Delaytime would be Per Fixture. So as long as i have 12 spots selected i can apply this palette.
If the Fade Time for all Fixtures was 5 sec and the Delay Time 4 sec it would become a Global Palette just like it works with normal Palettes.
Per Type would only apply if it was selected during the syntax like: RECORD TIME Per Type Color 4. This would give me the opportunity to create Timing Palettes with different fade-times for different kind of fixtures.
And last but not least it would be very handy if you can Record Fadetimes seperate from Delaytimes creating a Custom Kind or something. Don't have idea for a solution for that at the moment that follows syntax and philosophy of the OS.
Maybe there are already thoughts about how this is going to work in the future or do i maybe i just got to have patience and see how this will evolve in the near future?
Like to hear your thoughts on this. Much appreciated.
