A question here from the previous millennium...
Our Theater in San Francisco opened in 1993 with an installation of 7 racks of 96 each ETC (LMI) L86 dimmers. They've been pretty rock solid, but now, 25 years down the line, but we need to make provisions for upgrading into this millennium.
My question is, what other theaters out there have a similar installation, is it still working, where are you in the budgeting process to upgrade? Also, if you've already upgraded, what was the primary factor in that decision?
Thanks for any replies! I've been asked for life expentency and even ETC can't say, but are pretty sure, as I am, that 25 years is a reasonable limit.
