Remote Focus Unit

Hello,

Wondering if an android table or Kindle Fire coujld be used as a remote focus unit for an Emphasis system. I work at the Adler Theatre in Davenport, IA. They have an aging Emphasis system. They lost their iPad years ago. Currently we move the faceplate down onstage to do focus. Would love to avoid that move.

There is still a wireless router hooked-up to the server.

In a nutshell, No,

The iPad iRFR and Android aRFR apps are Eos & Congo only.

You might have some luck doing an e-bay used gear search for a hard wired RFR, then just buy and run a cable.

The WiFi remote for Emphasis was an app for a an HP hand held iPaq remote that used the WiFi (badly) for wireless operation. It was a problematic solution due to battery life issues on the HP, WiFi dropout and lost connections, etc... so I don't think I'd recommend that solution.
