  • Hi ,

Unfortunately, ETC is not currently building new fixture personalities for the Express/Expression console line since it was discontinued in 2008. However, you can build your own using PersEdit which is included in the Expression 3, Express, Insight 3 Off-line Software v3.1.1.

A quick guide is included with the software and is also available separately here.

A couple of additional notes when working with Personality Edit:

    1. When you save the personality, be sure to limit your file name to 8 characters (letters and numbers only) before the .PRS otherwise the console will not be able to read the file. (These are the old DOS file name rules.)
    2. The home value was never implemented in the console software, so don't worry about entering that data.
    3. The display format was also never implemented in the console software so no matter which option you choose, it will always display as a percentage.
    4. If you do not find the specific name of the parameter that you are looking for, you can choose any parameter that you would like to represent that control. There is not an option to add or rename parameter names.

    Hope this helps,

    Kirk
