Dimmers

I've got a 24/48 emphasis board, and we need to change one of our dimmers to a non-dim circuit. Can anyone help, and tell me how to do it. I can't seem to figure it out.

It is generally better to change this in your dimming rack and allow for full sinewave non-dim.

Otherwise you can set a dimmer profile on your Express console. (Please refer to your user manual under Dimmer Profiles)

-       Patch

-       Dimmer ‘x’

-       Find the soft key for 'Profile' (might need to hit the ‘more soft keys’ soft key)

-       Select the profile that is ‘Full at 1%’

And just out of curiosities sake, Why ?.
Reason I ask, is even when set to Non-Dim, the dimmer can still have a distorted sine-wave, thus should not be used to power up devices that don't like distorted sine-waves, such as moving lights or any electronic ballasted device, video projectors, etc...
Best solution for those requirements is either a Sensor Dual Relay Module, which is DMX controllable, or a direct circuit breaker module, which is not DMX controllable.

Thanks. It was the distorted sine wave answer that we were looking for. (Yup, powering ballasted equipment.)

Wonder if using a dimmer module as a non-dim is what caused problems on the first seven Epsons? :)
