Expression RFU

My company bought a used Express 24/48 just last year to replace an old Expression. While doing some spring cleaning I have come across an old ETC RFU. I am assuming it went with the Expression because it has an old key layout--fewer, slightly different buttons. I plugged it into the Express because I am desperate for an RFU and I was just hoping. It did squat. Does anyone know if it is just not compatible with the newer Express, or should it work and it's broken?

was your old Expression a 2X or just Expression

Hi there -

That would be the reason the RFU doesn't work with your Express. The old RFU isn't compatible. You could look for a newer used RFU compatible with Expression 2/3 and Express, or you can look into a new RRFU unit, which will work with your Express console just fine. You can also get the Focus Phone from West Side Systems. I have used this on the Exp2x and Express for years with no issues. It is much cheaper than the RFU that ETC puts out.
