Express 250 tells me: 'WARNING: effects step full. press [clear] to continue

Are you using S8 to add the channels? Are you in Blind for an existing Sub with an effect previously built on it? Is this a very large show already? What Step of how many existing steps were you in on the Effect? Approximately how many channels were already in the effect?

I only have the offline version to check it on, but I did not get your result. I got the correct behavior.

Can you try deleting the effect and rewriting it?

I have seen it before.  Create groups and enter in the group number.  I think it has something to do with the amount of allowable text on a step.

P-

You get the same error message if you have the Number of Effect Step Channels set too low.

In Setup, System Settings, #12, make sure this number is high enough to accept the additional channel on each step.
